We walked up Guadalupe the other day and I spotted this old-time turntable in the window at a hip clothing store. I'd almost forgotten these boxy things existed.

For once, we were across the street from this store so I thought that I would

shoot a photo of their sign. They are the best costume shop in town.

This nice young lady was only too glad to welcome us to the new Trader Joe's in our neighborhood.

Herbs for sale

This store has an unusual list of items for sale. Too bad it was closed when we walked past it. By the way, for those of you who have been dissatisfied with our downtown-centric choice of locale for our photos, this one is pretty far over on the eastside.
