Old Tech

The Off the Wall gift and junk shop on South Congress offers some old school technology...film cameras and a typewriter. They also had a slide rule on offer.

Wall Decor

Along the east side of South First there is a stone wall with this cow skull incorporated into the native stone. It's funny that a small walk from our high rise can yield such pictures.

A New Crepe in Town

By my count you can get crepes at three different trailers and the wonderful little Cafe Crepe on Second. I love crepes myself especially savory ones.

Graffiti Continued

On the side of Jo's Coffee on South Congress is this bit of graffiti. It seems sort of sweet but I guess it is really a tag and not Jo's decoration. FFP posed with it. Feeling the love.

Theme Day---Graffiti

Today is the first of October and thus 'theme day' on City Daily Photo. The theme is graffiti. I'm always a little conflicted about graffiti because it seems destructive and yet is something very artful. I offer one more picture from the Nueces Street festival that shows the chalk art on the street. First rain and it's all cleaned up. In fact, at the start of the fest the band schedule was written in chalk on the street. They had a rainstorm and it was gone so the drawings took hold when the pavement dried.
