Finish Line Is Near

These runners in the Capitol 10K Race are putting on their final kick, knowing that the finish line is just across the lake. If you click and get the bigger version of the shot, you'll get an idea of just how many runners this race attracts.  A friend of ours won her age division! The Capitol 10K is the fifth largest race of its kind in the country.

Fast Bikes

I like this storefront on East Sixth. The shop specializes in certain kinds of bikes. I'm thinking not the ones Mellow Johnny's specializes in. Fast Folks is a cool name but the skull allusion doesn't really emphasize safety, does it?

Google Team

Google Fiber is coming to ATX. FFP shot this at the announcement yesterday. These aren't the politicians and bosses and dignitaries...these are the Google Techies who will make it happen.

Horns and Hooves

You may have to click on this photo I shot Sunday morning to understand the context here. This "World Gone Mad" band was serenading the runners in the Capitol 10,000 race. They were playing some excellent tunes!

Sound Sculpture

On the grounds of the new Zach Scott Theatre is this sculpture. If you get close like FFP is you will hear that there are speakers inside playing some music.
