Refreshing Snack on the Trail
Yesterday was July 4th and David Garrido (of Garrido's Restaurant in our building) and his friend were serving up fresh watermelon snacks to the crowds on the trail. Delicious. And free on a day of freedom.

This local bar was gearing up for the Fourth the other day with a "Red White and Brews" Concert. I thought that we would show the colors today-- Happy Fourth to you all from the Live Music Capital of the World!

Saturday in the Park with Dogs

Good Catch
This mural (or graffiti) is on the back of a building on Rio Grande at Seventh. Says: "Hooked on 3rd Coast." The moniker "3rd Coast" is an old way of describing the decidedly not coastal city of Austin.

Just a Facade
Sometimes they 'renovate' old houses on Rainey Street rather than razing them and starting over. It adds some ambiance and, I think, makes permits easier to get. Today is theme day at City Daily Photo. The theme is facade. And that's all that's left of this structure a few weeks ago.
