Truffles are no trifle

We dined at Da Marco in Houston recently. Our waiter cooked my pasta dish with shaved white truffles tableside. It was scrumptious.

The Egg

This amazing metal sculpture is in the midst of the Museum District in downtown Houston. How they made this object -- so perfectly -- I'll never know.

Lamb -- yes ma'am!

We will throw in a few shots from a Houston jaunt -- I had this lamb ragout dish at La Villa in Houston recently. It was simmered for seven hours-- very tasty!

Down home BBQ

Linda and I enjoyed plates of barbecue with the fixings at House Park BBQ the other day. Delish!

House Park BBQ has this poster up in their dining room. It's over twenty years old. Lots of patina in this place! Food is great, by the way.
