Recycling? Uh, no!

Some joker in our building tried to slip this huge piece of old luggage into a recycling container in our garage. Not gonna happen! Made me furious.

We went to an Easter party and saw this array of cute toys going upstairs in the nice West Austin house where it was held.

My Weather Vane...Soon to Disappear

A building is going up at Fifth and Colorado. People are always asking me about things which block our view or will in the future. I'm most sad about the giant Texas flag that is actually pretty far away in the Texas State Cemetery east of IH35. I like seeing it there and...it tells me which way the wind blows. Since we are only on the tenth floor it doesn't take much height in a nearby building to block something from our view.

Catching Up

When Jackie toured the Austin American-Statesman plant she didn't know if this guy was catching up on the news or doing quality control. There do seem to be some discards in front of him.

The equipment being used to pour concrete at the new building south of us presented an otherworldly sight the other night.

Dead Tree Journalism

We get three daily newspapers. Two are produced all or in part at the Austin American-Statesman plant on South Congress beside Lady Bird Lake. Our friend Jackie recently took a tour. This shows a bundle of papers hurrying along the conveyor belt.
