Meet the meat!
The meat selection at Dai Due's butcher shop is amazing. I am glad that they opened this restaurant/retail store.

Listening
During the Blanton Museum SoundSpace event people move around at will. On the staircase at one point these listeners seemed to be choreographing their movements while someone passed them on the stairs to take up a different position.

Growing up On Lady Bird Lake
I'm thinking this is a Black-crowned Night Heron juvenile. What do you think? Spotted on Lady Bird Lake, of course.

The main event
This extremely avant musical piece was performed over an hour by players who had their parts governed by digital clocks posted where they could see them. It was mesmerizing.

Lost little bird
This sweet little parakeet was perched below a fence rail on Lavaca Street between 8th and 9th one recent afternoon. We couldn't begin to get it to come to us. It was obviously lost and I'll bet its owner is worried sick.

Good Pop is a local brand of icy treats. This sculpture of a melting gigantic treat was near the Congress Avenue bridge the other day. FFP posed for scale. Apparently it is promoting an upcoming art show.

Movement
I was walking across the Great Lawn at Zilker Park and caught this shot with my iPhone the other day. A woman pushing her bike, a man walking with his little dog -- the scene was dreamlike when I looked at the photo. When I got home, I realized that this would be a nice choice for the Movement theme. Click here to see the many interpretations of this theme from around the world.
