Here is our entry for the "Worker" City Daily Photo Theme Day. As long as half the streets in downtown Austin are torn up, I figured we might as well take a few photos of the activity. It takes some skilled people to make these projects happen.This standpipe near our building will last a long time, I hope.

ReplyDeleteI did not know the term "standpipe" at all. So I googled ... and one of the URLs was to my own Sydney Water!! In America it is something that firefighters can attach their hoses to. Is that right? We call that a fire-hydrant. Good choice for the theme.

ReplyDeleteYou are probably lucky that Austin is fixing up its infrastructure. In many places, it is crumbling and not being addressed.
