The current (until November 6) show at Women and Their Work is "Emily Fleisher's Astro-Turf and it plays with scale and space (as in this work where a miniature landscape spills from a wheelbarrow constructed from wood.

Listening

During the Blanton Museum SoundSpace event people move around at will. On the staircase at one point these listeners seemed to be choreographing their movements while someone passed them on the stairs to take up a different position.

This extremely avant musical piece was performed over an hour by players who had their parts governed by digital clocks posted where they could see them. It was mesmerizing.

Movement

A woman pushing her bike, a man walking with his little dog -- the scene was dreamlike when I looked at the photo. When I got home, I realized that this would be a nice choice for the Movement theme.
