Paint it Orange and Slap a Logo on It

I'm always amazed at the souvenir junk that gets trotted out for the local team.

Cheerleader?

When we first saw this (in a gift shop in Fredricksburg) we were a little taken aback. Was it supposed to be a UT witch cheerleader? Finally realized it's a garden gnome with UT attire and the gnome hat and UT's colors gave it a Halloween appearance. Puzzled as to who might buy such a thing...I then saw a similar item in our favorite bar.

Souvenirs

A little personal aside today. This picture was taken in a 'spare room' at our old house where a toy collection and souvenirs of travels were collected on shelves. (Picture was taken in August 2001.) We have given away so many things and yet our condo is piled with stuff and we are still taking mass quantities out of the house. I'll try to return soon to Austin's icons from ridiculous to sublime.
