Big Old Moon

Not a great picture because it was lazily snapped with my iPhone while drinking a Manhattan on the balcony. It was rising beside an office building under construction.

Full moon, but not in June.

Now this is a full moon. It went behind the clouds right after I shot this photo from our balcony.

Blood Moon

Not a great photo but I took it off our balcony around two AM with a handheld camera! The eclipse was nearly complete.

Luna Light

Linda took this terrific shot of the moon over downtown Austin from our balcony a couple of nights ago. We love the ever-changing view of the sky from our condo.

Shy Moon

Much has been made of the moon lately as it achieved its perigee unobstructed by earth (full) a couple of nights ago. Night before last I was sad that the clouds were hiding it when it peeked out for a look. Closer than usual or not it made an interesting picture.

Night in the City

Not a great picture, but I shot it with a Nikon S630 Point and Shoot from a moving boat so...all things considered...I like it.

Big Moon

Jackie shot this a while back and I am just now running it. Shot looking east along Cesar Chavez on the night of the big moon I believe.

Full Moon Rising

On Sunday the full moon shined brightly even as the sunset was reflected in the downtown towers. No color correction on this photo.

Moonlight and Construction

My friends who live at the AMLI on Second took this on the Fourth of July. They are so close to the W construction that the crane looked like it was in their face. (The cranes have been raised and moved around some now.) They caught the big old moon just a little later than I did here. Should have had this one for yesterday's theme day. Lots of stuff visible here. City Hall, Austonian, Ashton, Legacy and the colored lights on the side of the Radisson.

The Moon

Shot the top of the Frost Bank Tower and the moon on the 4th from the Headliners Club in the Chase building.
