We Are All Red

Our building (the 360 Condominium Tower) can change the lights in the glass triangles at the south ends of our hallways to express our mood. Here we are all red. Either for Valentine's Day or maybe showing solidarity with heart disease causes or HIV/AIDs.

Seaholm Sign

The new Seaholm District is taking shape. Old pipes were configured into a sign in the plaza between the soon-to-open condo tower and the retail area. The plaza leads to the old power plant building with the (decommissioned) smoke stacks. The power plant building will contain offices and a least one restaurant.

Icon Reflected

THe Frost Bank Tower is one of the iconic parts of Austin's skyline. Completed in 2004, it predates many of our current towers. Here it is reflected in a relatively new office tower at Third and Colorado.

IH35 the right way...on foot

Interstate 35 through downtown Austin is famous for traffic tie-ups. But pedestrians on this walkway rarely experience delays. That's FFP walking along and consulting his phone. We were going from the Lady Bird Lake South Shore boardwalk to the Rainey Street area.

An old building that housed part of the city's electric utility is being chewed up by the giant claw to make way for this high rise. Jackie shot this for us.

Scene from A Coffee House

This Austin Java Coffee House takes things seriously. Today is theme day and the theme is 'Scene from a Coffee House.' Thought this reader board on one of the unique little enclaves (this one at is part of a mini-chain and is on Parkway near 12th and Lamar) would be a nice companion to what will undoubably include shots of cups of coffee and people drinking them at little tables and such. See others' interpretations here.
