Can't remember if we had already posted a shot of this, but this fancier bit of sidewalk under the Congress Avenue Bridge makes things a lot safer for oldsters like us.

I dined on this wonderful halibut dish at Jeffrey's the other night-- it had mussels and artichokes on the plate with the fish.

This one is a nonsensical but cute figure that is a part of Austin lore. It is on a building just off of the Drag or as the formal title goes, Guadalupe Street.

Lots of people in downtown Austin are flocking to this fancy new food court just off Congress Avenue. It even has a big place to eat outside with a shade structure.

We were invited to a nice lunch at a new east side eatery the other day where we were treated tor a taste of a new Zach Scott play. Here you see us with our friends Karin and William.

I love simple things like being out for a walk with my best pal, my wife. It always makes me feel good to see her in front of me.

I like to keep posting shots like this one. As an old-timer around Austin, I never fail to marvel at how our town has grown.

Typical Austin

There's a story here. For years, a scraggly little piece of scrub brush poked up from this cut in the sidewalk on Fourth Street. No doubt, they had to go to extra expense to carve this semi-circle in the sidewalk instead of just cutting the thing down.

Loved this spicy and texture-filled dish the other night at Soto. What a great new place to eat.

Theme Day -- Team Art Bra spirit!

I took this shot of the final runway parade at the Art Bra fundraiser. These women all have breast cancer -- some are "lifers" in Stage 4 -- they showed a lot of spirit in facing their disease with strength and good humor.
