Big leap for a sculpture

I think that we have posed a photo of this large Giacometti-like sculpture before, but this shot I took kind of makes it look like he is leaping. Well, it did to me, anyway.

Creative concept

Here you see Linda constructing a cool piece of artwork from interestingly shaped orange pieces of wood. This was at the newly rehabbed Laguna Gloria art museum.

Walking across the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge, there is a certain spot where our building still looms up (beyond the salvia). Many of the buildings in this picture have arrived since we moved here.

Roses Are Doing Great This Year

Every rose bush I see this spring is rife with bud and bloom. Someone told me it was the rain in January that made them so prolific. Maybe. They are beautiful this year.

We dined at Da Marco in Houston recently. Our waiter cooked my pasta dish with shaved white truffles tableside. It was scrumptious.

We will throw in a few shots from a Houston jaunt -- I had this lamb ragout dish at La Villa in Houston recently. It was simmered for seven hours-- very tasty!

Linda and I enjoyed plates of barbecue with the fixings at House Park BBQ the other day. Delish!

House Park BBQ has this poster up in their dining room. It's over twenty years old. Lots of patina in this place! Food is great, by the way.
