Eastwoods Park

 Eastwoods Park is a haven just north of the University of Texas. Here you see my partner in life walking through it on a recent sunny afternoon. 

Coke signs stolen!

Two of the three Coca-Cola signs on this historic Austin drug store were stolen during the night a few weeks ago. The owner took the third one down because she was fearful they would come for it as well.

We saw this nice box of chalk on an east Austin sidewalk the other day -- just waiting for people of any age to make their thoughts known.

 Pets are so important -- especially in this weird time. These people really want to get their cat back!

A worthwhile thing to do after school

 I hope that some kids try these classes out -- being able to take good photos is a nice skill to have.

Residents of this cul-de-sac have a sweet gathering place that they maintain in their midst. I wonder what they put in that violet mail box.

It was hard to tell if this was a tree or a piece of sculpture. We love our walks around town.

In Austin, you will find wonderful hand-painted signs like this one in people's yards. I love the sentiment. A nice thought for the new year. 

Something to remember 2020 by

Each of these markers represents a death in Texas from the COVID virus. It is a horrible story, but the main one, of this horrible year that is in our rear view mirror. We hope that life gets better in 2021.
