Theme Day---Graffiti
Today is the first of October and thus 'theme day' on City Daily Photo. The theme is graffiti. I'm always a little conflicted about graffiti because it seems destructive and yet is something very artful. I offer one more picture from the Nueces Street festival that shows the chalk art on the street. First rain and it's all cleaned up. In fact, at the start of the fest the band schedule was written in chalk on the street. They had a rainstorm and it was gone so the drawings took hold when the pavement dried. The future. When the walls are all used up we'll start on the pavements and roads.
ReplyDeleteinteresting.
ReplyDeletehappy theme day!
I find graffiti to be a perfect expression and adds to a area's setting as long as it is not crude or disrespectful. I have seen some beautiful graffiti around Austin...it disturbs me when I see "volunteers" painting over it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Theme Day - great post for "graffiti" ... this is the best type of graffiti - WASHABLE!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend :)
