A Fine Winter Day
Yep. This picture was taken Sunday. It looks like January in another hemisphere. But, no, it was Austin. And just last Sunday. This pool and fountain beside Lady Bird Lake at Auditorium Shores attracted this couple and its share of birds and a bird dog (it's an off leash area) to chase them. Today is the first of the month and theme day on City Daily Photo. The theme is fountains and so we've used the spraying water as the foreground for this couple. Before you move here...it just rained over night, winds of 50 MPH and above and now the temperature is 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants.

Well, I live in Northern Michigan, I think I could handle just about anything Austin can throw at me in January compared to here! Now if I can only find a logistics/shipping position opening there, I'll be on my way in a matter of weeks.
ReplyDeleteIt's the truth! I really love being here in the winter. It's stopped raining and the wind has dried things a bit and it's just now 32 degrees. Not running my heater and it's still 72 degrees in our condo!
ReplyDeleteBetter than Dallas right now at 20 degrees F.
ReplyDeleteYes, Jerry. On days like today my dad used to remark about how glad he was to have moved to Austin!
