The Day the Music Died

Here you see well-known composer and musician Graham Reynolds taking a sledge hammer to a piano that was slated for extinction anyway. This happened after he and some other players gave a concert at the foot of the pedestrian bridge not far from our home. These old pianos have been placed around the downtown area and anyone can play on them at any time.

  1. I think all the pianos are leaving. Concert was amazing. They had a grand piano right there in the garden at the foot of the spiral for the bike/ped bridge and good spinets on the spiral. A couple of the pieces involved all the pianos. The sound was actually amazing even with sirens and crying babies and crackle of the gravel as perplexed bikers and runners drifted by.
