The heart of the matter


We walked through the state cemetery the other day and saw this gravestone for Denton Cooley-- this pioneer heart surgeon was a legend worldwide.

    Unprepossessing. You'd never know he was a big deal in his time. I suppose that's true for a lot of people.
    Interesting.

    Unprepossessing. Wonder if he was a Presbyterian. Idle thoughts. But interesting to see such a quiet marker for someone who was big in his tine.
