Thousands and thousands of people stream toward the Capitol at the beginning of the
Capital 10K race. One of the oldest running events in Austin, it has been going on since I've been in Austin. (Picture from Congress Avenue at the bridge. See
long view yesterday with hardly any traffic.) There were so many people on the bridge that you could feel it vibrate.
The large races are fun - or so says Lois Anne who ran New York (35,000) and Disney (also big).
