Free to Follow Your Beat

Today some of the City Daily Photo Blogs raise awareness about the protest in Iran. I have chosen to celebrate the freedom women have here in the U.S. by showing Masumi Jones on drums, being all she can be as a person, a jazz drummer and a woman. Warning to Iran: women are not property and one day they will rise up to take their freedom.

  1. I applaud this young woman following the beat of a different drum. I applaud the people of Iran rising up in support of their own self-determination rather than having their direction imposed from above or from outside.

I am so glad you posted on this special Theme Day. We want our blogger back. The world is watching.

  2. I've been overwhelmed by the images of women involved in the street protests in Iran. The are beautiful and powerful in their own right, and they're at the forefront of these protests.

Thanks for posting today. The world is watching.
