On the porch

I would like to rest on this porch and read the newspaper for a while.

Here is our walk through Hyde Park a few days ago. Linda keeps an app on to track our mileage.

Amaryllis in the morning.

Saw these pretty flowers in the yard of the house that belongs to our friends Peter and Jack.
They keep such a nice yard.

Then and now -- Hyde Park Christian Church

Sometimes we go walking in the Hyde Park neighborhood in central Austin and we go by this church. It was where I attended church as a child before they moved to a larger facility. It always makes me have memories of the people I met there and many a Sunday School class.

Yard Art

It's interesting what one can find in the yards of private homes.

My childhood church

I spent a lot of time in my younger days in this church, located at 42nd and Avenue D in Hyde Park. The congregation moved to a larger facility on East 45th Street, when I was in high school, over 50 years ago. This structure seems to be home to a couple of congregations now.

Spring Walking

We walked in the Hyde Park neighborhood recently and I caught FFP going by this picket fence with beautiful flowers.

Colors

This house in Hyde Park used purple, yellow, and blue paint, but then the red chair? And the patina of the porch? I just liked the composition.

Exterior, Elisabet Ney Museum

The exterior of the Elisabet Ney Museum. It was the sculptress' studio and home. It is located in an Austin Neighborhood called Hyde Park. I can't explain the modern sculpture on the lawn.

Not Scooting

Appears to me that this scooter in Hyde Park hasn't moved in a while.
