Here you see Melissa. She makes a nice living by taking care of other folks' dogs. She was having a good time with them a few days ago.

Mushroom madness

Strange -- someone threw out a bunch of mushrooms on the Great Lawn in Zilker Park a few days ago. I don't think that they picked them off of a pizza!

These ladies were escorting a large pack of friendly dogs across Zilker the other day.

This woman was using an umbrella as she walked along the Zilker cliffs with a child. The sun really makes one want to carry their shade along.

Keep off the grass

The curators of the Great Lawn are always trying to get one area of grass or another green before the next big festival comes along to trample it down again.

Dishing the dirt

This dog was tuckered out and just hit the dirt by the volleyball space at Zilker Park the other day.

Zilker Park gets its due on social media! It's up to us in Austin to post photos of this beautiful greenspace.

(missing you) 100

Maybe my header doesn't make sense -- the deal is, Zilker Park is 100 years old and it is up to us to be the "one" in 100 by putting photos on social media. I will post a closeup of the sign tomorrow.

Fun for the Fourth

What's more all-American than having a good time playing sports? This game wasn't happening on the Fourth of July, but I thought it would be appropriate to post it today.

Lots of people were taking advantage of the Zilker train to have a nice ride in the sun the other day.

Sometimes There's a Tangle

These two poodles briefly got entangled in some kites strings when the toddler rushed the dogs. Everyone was extricated without injury.

It's not easy to find a place to launch your kite or strategically place your blanket at the kite fest.
