a wine and book store in Lockhart, just south of Austin.

This guest at a party we attended recently made sure his dog was comfortable. He sang a number with the band later on. The gent. Not the dog.

On one of our walks this guy was loose. He asserted himself but I told him to go home and he did.

There are lots of Beware of Dog or Dog on Premises signs in this neighborhood. These are on meet and greet duty.

That's One Way of Looking At It

 

This is the first time I have seen this particular sign asking folks to clean up after man's best friend.

City People

We live in the city (downtown Austin). The theme for City Daily photo this month is "City People." From our balcony, the city is usually quite busy with people. But the pandemic has changed everything and sometimes all you can see is a downtown lady and a downtown dog out for a stroll. Click here to see what other city blogs chose for the theme day.

Protection

We walked by this little one's yard twice the other day. The second time he didn't bark until we stopped and reached toward him. Maybe he was actually looking forward to our return.

Here you see Melissa. She makes a nice living by taking care of other folks' dogs. She was having a good time with them a few days ago.

It always amuses me to see dogs come to the window of a house to mark our passing on foot.

These two with their mom at the dog park were trying to behave to get a treat I think. Quite the size difference.

As we walk through the doggie park on Auditorium Shores, we never fail to see some dogs who have splashed in the lake.
