Coke signs stolen!

Two of the three Coca-Cola signs on this historic Austin drug store were stolen during the night a few weeks ago. The owner took the third one down because she was fearful they would come for it as well.

Need a job?

It could be fun to work in this neighborhood drug store. It's still around, in spite of all the big chains.

Nau's for a juicy burger

Love these burgers at Nau's Drugstore -- a real old-fashioned soda fountain!

Here for Nau's

Nau's Drug Store is an old West Austin fixture. They are going through some tough times and lots of us are buying things there to help.

Fading squares of memories

This rapidly-deteriorating logo in the sidewalk is all that remains of Renfro's Rexall Drug Store on "The Drag" across from the University of Texas campus. That store is where I holed up during the Tower Sniper rampage on August 1, 1966 in which 17 people were killed and over thirty were injured.

Today is theme day at City Daily Photo. The theme is squares. Click here to see other city's interpretations.
