What up, Mr. Duck?

This guy had planted himself on a railing on one of the many bridges on the hike and bike trail. He didn't seem to want to move and I wondered if were ill. He is probably a Muscovy Duck, although I'm not an expert.

These ducks on Lady Bird Lake were expecting people to throw a few treats their way.

Lucky ducks

These ducks weren't paying much attention to the construction projects around town. They just wanted a few bugs to eat.

Feeding time

We went for a walk around the lake today and strolled past the feeding site for so many ducks and swans.  They were definitely getting their fill.

Tough sledding

The torrential rains that we had Wednesday night and Thursday morning made for a strong current in Lady Bird Lake.  This group of ducks was doing its best to swim upstream. They weren't making much progress, but they were gamely trying.
