Theme day -- orange
This new eatery and bar in downtown Austin has a facade with orange colors worked into it. Always glad to see what our colleagues around the world post for their examples of the theme. Click here to see them.

Colors
This house in Hyde Park used purple, yellow, and blue paint, but then the red chair? And the patina of the porch? I just liked the composition.

Paint it Tan, But Add a Little Something
When you paint a house, it's sometimes hard to choose between something calm and a little pizzazz. These folks decided to add an amped up accent on their garage door. Taken in Old West Austin.

The Color Green
It's the first of the month. Theme day. The theme is the 'colour green.' Our English speaking leaders are, well, English. Austin and most of Texas are in a severe, disastrous drought. However, one block over from us the decommissioned Green Water Treatment plant land is luxuriously green. They divert water from the fire hydrant at all hours of the days and water it and they have installed lights on the property. But it is not a new park, but merely a holding pond for flood runoff or something, off limits to its neighbors. Does give us a spot of green to look at, though. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants in this theme day.

Red and Blue
In our building there is a new Italian coffee and spirits bar. They had an Italian scooter outside with their name on it, Blu, the other day. Apparently color is kind of a theme for places in the building. A wine bar, Mulberry, is decked in red. And a Royal Blue Grocery will move in soon.
