I hope we pop downtown a little early to get some tuna seared rare and a glass of wine at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse before the UT game is over. Then we will walk over the stars in the sidewalk in honor of Joe and Jaston and see the latest fun play about the denizens of the fictional third smallest town in Texas: Tuna.
I saw these guys in Nashville a few years ago. They are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteJoe and Jaston put on a good show. Seeing them both do Elvis Impersonators was worth the price of admission. Joe managed to actually look a little like a good impersonator of the fat Elvis. Our plan about avoiding the UT crowds worked like a fine timepiece, too. At half time we slipped down Mopac. While there were plenty of people downtown we found a parking spot between Fifth and Sixth on Congress. Ruth's Chris bar opened at 4:30 and was deserted when we arrived to sit at the bar and watch the game with attentive bar folks helping our eats and drinks needs. When they throngs attacked the place for dinner after the final whistle, we walked down to the Paramount and found our way to our seats. When we vacated the parking place at 10:30 someone immediately pulled into it. I love it when a plan comes together.
