Ten piece jazz band

Wednesday night, we went by The Elephant Room to hear this fine ten-piece group called John Mills X 10 at our local underground jazz club. (Well, it's under Congress Ave!) John Mills, the leader, is the tenor sax player at the right side of the photo.

I'm always amazed at the dedication of players like these guys who don't make beans off these gigs, put together their own charts, and produce such stunningly good performances night after night.
